3/3/2023 0 Comments Wyff weatherradarTomorrow is not gonna be cold but sunday monday Tuesday. So here comes that cold front, pulling down cold dry air from Canada as we go into tomorrow. How much rain will fall from about four o’clock this morning until six or seven o’clock tonight we’ll the atmosphere can easily squeeze out another half an inch to an inch or more. But then it’s going to really cool us down, heading into sunday. So as we go into, you know, this evening, 78 o’clock we should see me most if not all of the rainfall gone, the winds died down, it’ll still be breezy and then tomorrow we’ve got that cold front coming through, that’ll kick up *** few extra clouds in the afternoon in the upstate *** very isolated shower in the mountains. So as that core begins to push through, it’s going to take the bulk of the rain with it. You can see why widespread rain on live Super Doppler for HD you could see 8 30 this morning, nine o’clock, we’re gonna see those rain rates really pick up as we go into 10, 11, 12 12 o’clock, that’s gonna be probably where we’re going to see the heaviest amounts of rain And then that core, the remnant core is right about here. That’s going to change as we go into the next few hours because that core is going to be getting *** little bit closer so our rainfall amounts will be becoming *** little bit more almost four o’clock this morning. As we take *** look outside live super Doppler four, you can see the core right here spinning out in Georgia, we’re still getting kind of these outer bands, that’s what’s giving us the predominant source of rainfall right now. Our risk for severe weather is on the lower end and it’s basically for Gaffney Union Rutherford 10, although all of us, especially east of Greenville is going to see *** little bit more instability in the atmosphere as we go into this morning, but you can see some strong thunderstorms cannot be ruled out pretty much anywhere today as these outer bands come in, the main concern is going to be some strong thunderstorms with pretty strong winds but also low lead rotation or *** small tornado cannot be ruled out the risk is low but it’s not zero. The remnants will be moving basically right through or just west of Greenville around three o’clock this afternoon. Tropical storm Nicole still heading our way. But then tomorrow we’ve got *** cold front that’s going to come through, winds are going to be quite as gusty, but you can see tomorrow as that frontal system pushes through will still go up to 20 maybe 25 mile an hour winds. So, you know, winds dying down *** bit tonight as that rainfall ends. You can see those winds still up *** bit but beginning to ease *** little bit. For today, mid morning we’ll see anywhere from 20 to 30 mile an hour wind gusts again, these are not sustained, but some of those winds are going to be rather blustery at times as we go throughout tonight. Some of those gusts could be upwards of 40 MPH I think. We’ve got those outer bands, we’re gonna have *** lot more rainfall as we get *** little later into this morning and early afternoon. Until tonight, we’ve got the remnants of Nicole’s continuing to pour in. Everyone, we continue to see this flood watch in effect for parts of the mountains.
